Arsenal appear to be moving quickly to secure some transfer business, but has their fall away from Champions League football next season hampered any deals?
On the first episode of The Fresh Arsenal Show, amongst other squad building discussions, host Oli Price-Bates was discussing with journalist James Benge about the impact, if any, it will have on Arsenal’s primary targets.
You can watch the show and see the conversation host Oli Price-Bates had with James, below:
In recent weeks, Arsenal have reportedly been closing in on an agreement with Gabriel Jesus and Manchester City, but that was when the Gunners were looking likely to finish in the top four.
Jesus appears to have been around the league for some time, but his prime years are still ahead of him, having only just turned 25 in April and as Arsenal hunt for a jewel to crown off their attack, Arteta would be enticed by such a prospect.
James Benge also came on our podcast in January and mentioned Youri Tielemans as a player that Arsenal would target this summer. He very much echoed that in his latest appearance, suggesting there was lots of smoke around that deal which now appears a real possibility.
The Telegraph reported on Monday night that Tielemans was amongst Arsenal’s top summer targets.
