Here’s How Arsenal Picked Up A Premier League First vs. Bournemouth

Right, we’ve all managed to take a breather or have a very stiff drink following that game last night, which in all honesty was an absolute cracker.

Despite it not being the result or performance that many of us wanted, the Gunners certainly put on a show down at the Vitality Stadium to rescue a crucial point.

Six goals, a red card and several injury doubts means we’ll be talking about that fixture all week, but there’s one thing many people seemed to have skipped over.

Tuesday night saw the Gunners come back from 3-0 down to draw the game, the first time they’ve done that in the Premier League in their history.

It’s definitely something to take from the game, and once again shows the resilience in the team to not let up and take a battering from a side in the bottom half of the table.

Many questions will be asked of Wenger’s decision to make a tactical substitution at 63 minutes, something that he says was an early reaction to change things around.

In fact, Lucas Perez was only brought on following The Cherries third goal, yet again showing he was incapable of making a big decision early enough because I felt Lucas changed the game.

Wenger felt the fitness of his players had a major impact on how his side started the game, when in actual fact Arsenal have had just as little time as Liverpool.

Sure, the title race could be over for Arsenal if Chelsea manage to beat Spurs tonight, but that point could be huge going into a winnable run of games in the league now.

Arsenal face Swansea, Burnley and Watford before heading to table toppers Chelsea, so it’s a great chance to build up some momentum to take to Stamford Bridge.
