3. Oxlade-Chamberlain Must Be Patient
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain travelled out to Turkey in midweek and was one of Arsenal’s star men. The Ox was trusted with an attacking midfield position, to which he was fantastic in Istanbul. Due to Ramsey’s hamstring injury during the Galatasary game, Chamberlain was named in the starting XI as a midfielder. The former Southampton player wants to play midfield and this was his time to shine against Newcastle. Oxlade-Chamberlain showed glimpses of excellence as his powerful surging runs from midfield really challenged both Tiote and Colback. However, the Ox lacked composure on the ball at times which forced Arsenal back. This is something that comes with experience and Ox has a lot to learn yet. However, I think he definitely has the ability and attitude to become the midfielder he desires.
Next up for Arsenal is a trip up to Merseyside. Liverpool’s Anfield is the location as Arsenal will be gunning for revenge after last season’s 5-1 humiliation.
