Schneiderlin? Nope. Gundogan? Move over. According to these sensational, unbelievable and pretty exciting reports, Arsenal have won the race to sign Arturo Vidal from Juventus- beating Manchester United & Liverpool to his signature.

Reports this week state the Reds had made an offer, which alerted Arsenal, and the Gunners then used Alexis Sanchez to convince his compatriot of a deal- making Vidal opt for London over Merseyside. They even go as far as saying an agreement between Arsenal & Juventus has been drafted out.

Vidal is set to leave Juventus, so that Paul Pogba stays put, and the suggestions that Arsenal have agreed a proposed contract with the South American is something to get excited about- but we know the club work very quietly and slowly, so don’t expect any immediate breakthroughs.

Arsenal Step-Up Benzema Interest (Fichajes)

From one sensational deal to another (we told you it was exciting), Arsene Wenger is said to be stepping up his interest in Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema and has the French international as his top-target for the summer.

Wenger is said to be eying a striker and wants Benzema to come to the Emirates in a £35.5m deal, which would strengthen Arsenal’s forward line. 22 goals in 43 games this season is a decent return and would provide mean support and/or rivalry to Olivier Giroud.

With Real Madrid linked to big name strikers this summer, this deal could actually take place.

£35m Not Enough For De Bruyne (Daily Star)

Let’s face it, we were never going to get Kevin De Bruyne this summer- and the German outfit have pretty much confirmed that by laughing off a supposed price-tag of £35m, which they state isn’t enough to make them flinch- which makes sense, seeing as Raheem Sterling is somehow rated at the same amount.

Klaus Allofs is quoted to have said, rather bluntly, ‘seriously? We wouldn’t even flinch at an amount like that.’

Carry on then.

Arsenal Offered Pedro For £7m (Telegraph)

Arsenal aren’t done stealing wingers from Barcelona (thanks for Alexis, again), as reports state they are interested in Pedro Rodriguez. A Deal has been made even more likely by the fact the Catalan side are selling him off on the cheap.

Just £7m is enough to secure the services of the Spanish World Cup winner, which would bring him to the Emirates for at least £28m less than Sterling- who if you haven’t guessed, I don’t want. He also comes with a better attitude and bag loads of experience, trophies and credentials.
