Arsenal’s season is close to coming to an end- and it seems there will be a fire-sale at the Emirates this summer, as the club sort out their plans ahead of a Premier League title push this season.
Here’s the round-up of todays transfer talk from across the web.
Eight Stars Ready To Be Sold This Summer (TalkSport)
TalkSport have run a piece today, speculating all the players that they believe will be on their way out of North London this summer. Whilst there’s some changes bound to happen, the accumulation of eight names is rather surprising.
Midfielders Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini are both linked with exits, which aren’t surprising, whilst injury prone Abou Diaby is also on the way out. One surprise inclusion on the list is captain Mikel Arteta, who has played a bit-part role this season.
Theo Walcott is another name, most likely to command the highest fee, along with loanees Carl Jenkinson, Ryo Miyaichi and Joel Campbell. Of the list, I’d say around four or five are set to be on the way out.
Dybala Move Back On (Football Italia)
Remember how Paulo Dybala to Arsenal wasn’t happening as he’s off to Juventus? Well, scratch that- potentially- as Max Allegri has denied any reports, which have opened up speculation regarding the 21-year-old Argentine once again.
Whilst interesting to see where the talented striker ends up this summer, personally I would be incredibly surprised to see him move to the Emirates Stadium. Stranger things have happened though and Giroud’s recent goal drought suggests we need to sway the balance in attack.
Arsenal Keen On Bournemouth Striker (ESPN)
Arsenal are eying Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, according to reports, and are amongst a wealth of clubs pursuing the youngster’s signature. With 23 goals in the Championship, helping the Cherries to promotion to the Premier League, there is heavy interest.
Supposedly, Arsenal scouts have seen the player at least five times this season and have given rave reviews- which could turn Arsene Wenger’s arm. It would be interesting to see if we bought him and sent him back on-loan to Bournemouth, or kept him in the first team.
Bournemouth are braced for bids this summer when the window opens.
