As the season draws to a close, the gossip begins. We will be bringing you an Arsenal filtered gossip column throughout the summer. This week reports suggest Arsenal may go back for Fabregas and are set to make a renewed bid to sign Lars Bender. Griezmann and Remy are also in Arsene’s transfer scope.
Reports in Germany suggest that Arsenal are going to offer £17million for Lars Bender as they look to replace Mikel Arteta in the heart of the midfield (Metro).
Barcelona are ready to sell Cesc Fabregas, and Arsenal are heavy favourites to sign him. They could activate a £25million buy-back clause (Oddschecker).
Arsenal could sign two strikers in January and one of them could be Loic Remy. Arsene Wenger was cagey when asked about the French forward: “He is a good striker but at the moment we are focused on our end of season, not on transfers,” (The Journal).
Arsenal have reportedly made an approach for Real Sociedad forward Antoine Griezmann. He has scored 19 goals in 45 games from the left wing this season, and is one of the most wanted players in Europe (HITC).
Bacary Sagna has a two-year contract extension, with an option of a third offer on the table – but is still stalling. Arsenal have lined up Aurier to replace him if he leaves (Fresh Arsenal).
