I like the Costa Rican, but it seems Arsene Wenger is not his biggest fan. In all honesty I do wonder whether he has the right skill-set to be successful at Arsenal, and I doubt it. He’s a quality player and could do a job for a team in the top 8 of the Premier League, but I don’t know if he is right for Arsenal.
If I were manager I would give him more time, perhaps the whole of this season to prove himself. He needs to be getting more game time than he is at the moment though, to allow him to adapt to Arsenal’s playing style. If it doesn’t work out, then the Gunners must look to shift him on for a profit. I fear that Wenger’s patience may not wait until the summer though, and he could be moved on in the winter window, especially if the impatient players agent continues to push for a move to Benfica.Click below to see the other two players who could leave Arsenal in January.
