Felix alternative? Arsenal ‘monitoring’ €30m-rated forward who looks certain to move this month

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Ukranian forward Mykalo Mudryk, but after Joao Felix moved to Chelsea, could the Gunners still be in for another forward this month?

Many reliable journalists suggested that Arsenal were aiming to acquire both Felix and Mudryk this month and now another Arsenal attacking target is available.

Step forward, Leandro Trossard. The 28-year-old Belgian international is attracting interest from Tottenham, but according to TalkSport, Arsenal are also monitoring the situation.

Chances of signing Trossard have increased after the Belgian international stormed out of Brighton training on earlier this week and his representatives have since said he wants to leave the club.

The new Brighton boss, De Zebri, has also gone public, making the relationship somewhat untenable: “I told him I don’t like his attitude. The session before last game, when he understood he wasn’t playing, he left the session without telling me anything.”

With just 18 months left on his Brighton contract and given the circumstances, Trossard could be available for a reasonable fee.

He is valued at 30million euros on transfermarkt and has scored 7 Premier League goals this season.

Trossard is unlikely to be a player that would come into the starting eleven for Arsenal, but his Premier League pedigree and ability to play in all front three positions would certainly make him an attractive option for the club.
