Arsenal fans have had some good news in the last week or so and now the Gunners seem to be making more positive steps in terms of building a squad for next season.
We’ve brought you the news this week that the Gunners are in talks to sign Brazilian duo Willian and defender Gabriel Magalhaes. Now the club appear to have sealed the future of their captain and best player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
? Arsenal believe they have agreed a new three year deal with Aubameyang. The deal includes a pay rise and the player has been told there will be sufficient addition to the squad to challenge for top four next season https://t.co/g5wpIerLsI [Telegraph – Exclusive] #AFC

Mikel Arteta seemed confident after the FA Cup final that their hero, Aubameyang, would be staying at the club. With just one year remaining on his current deal, Pierre was heavily linked with a move away from the club. But a resurgent Arsenal under Arteta appears to have convinced him to stick around.
The news of Aubameyang’s reported new 3-year deal broke in a Telegraph exclusive on Thursday afternoon. In that report, they reference that the player will receive a pay rise and a two year extension on his current one year deal. That means the player would end his current contract aged just 33 – this, on paper, appears to be a real coup for the club.
Aubameyang’s undoubted quality will be more than welcome at the club for the next couple of years and amongst the current mess, he has emerged as a real leader. Despite his age, Auba appears to be in peak physical condition, perhaps bolstered by the fact that he was a bit of a late bloomer.
What will excite fans even more is that the club appear to have given Aubameyang assurances that the squad will be strengthened this summer, again, as per The Telegraph report.
Here’s how the fans are reacting:
Auba on a three year deal is unreal. Means his deal ends when he's 33. Surprised he didn't push for a four year deal.

Getting Aubameyang tied to a new deal would be a sign of real ambition. Of course its a risk committing finances on Auba and other big signings, then failing… But if you don't try you just don't have a chance to bridge the gap with the top sides. Exciting times ahead.
