Experienced Arsenal Duo Hint They Will Leave The Club This Summer

All the talk is about incomings recently, but Arsenal look set to sell the experienced duo of Tomas Rosicky and Lukas Podolski.

Rosicky seems concerned about his lack of game time, quite rightly. As the Czech international says, Arsene Wenger has used him sparingly since extending his contract.

“Since the moment Arsene Wenger used the option in my contract, I haven’t even been on the bench.. I am laughing, but it’s not funny.”

“It’s frustrating but I am a professional. Even if you lose your place, you must still be prepared because the situation can change. I’ll start the summer preparation with Arsenal and that’s the whole of my plan for the time being.”

When Rosicky was in the team before Christmas, he was playing very well, one of our better players at the time. Wenger’s array of talent in midfield has seen Rosicky knocked down the pecking order.

Podolski, on the other hand seems happy to play a rotation role at the club: “They are a great club and I think I can help them,” said Podolski. “Things can always change, but if needs be I will remain at Arsenal next season. I still have many years ahead of me and a burning desire to play football.

Podolski, however did not offer any hints that Arsenal want him back and it seems pretty clear that they don’t. Wenger is keen to shift the German who is amongst the highest earners at the club, despite playing a peripheral role at the club.

I won’t lose any sleep if either player leaves, especially Podolski. Would you? I love Rosicky but we have much better, younger options in his position and it might be time for him to move on. At this stage of his career, he can’t afford to be wasting time on the bench.
