€70m winger Instagram post hints at potential huge summer move to Arsenal

Arsenal are looking to add significant firepower to their frontline this summer and some social media activity has hinted at a potential huge move.

Arsenal’s hunt for a new left winger this summer has taken an intriguing twist after AC Milan star Rafael Leão shared a photo on Instagram wearing a Thierry Henry-branded t-shirt – sparking speculation that a move to North London could be on the cards.

The 26-year-old Portuguese international has long been admired across Europe for his explosive pace, flair, and ability to turn a game on its head. And now, with Arsenal looking to add more depth and competition to their forward line, Leão is emerging as a viable – and exciting – option.

Leão has been heavily linked with a move away from Milan this summer, with several reports suggesting he’s open to a new challenge after five years in Serie A. According to
Transfermarkt, he’s currently valued at €70million – a figure that might be negotiable if Milan look to reshape their squad or reinvest in other areas.

For Arsenal, this would be a significant investment, but one that aligns with Andrea Berta’s desire to inject elite-level attacking talent into Mikel Arteta’s team. With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli currently occupying the left-wing role, there’s quality already in place, but Leão would bring a different profile – one capable of creating chaos against deep blocks and on the counter.

Leão’s Instagram post may simply be a tribute to Thierry Henry, one of football’s great icons. But with the transfer window wide open, timing is everything – and fans are right to wonder whether this could be more than a coincidence.

Arsenal have been linked with several wide players this summer, including
Nico Williams and Anthony Gordon, but Leão’s mix of star quality, age, and proven output in the Champions League makes him a tantalising option. Whether the Gunners will make a formal approach remains to be seen, but this is certainly one to watch as the window progresses.

The other main contender for this position is Rodrygo – a move for him remains very much possible.
