Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will spend another season on loan at Roma after deciding to return to the Serie A side.
Reports are breaking that the two clubs have finally come to an agreement over the Poland international, who remains in a rest period following the Euro’s.
The 26-year-old picked up a nasty injury whilst out in France this summer, but during his recovery it hasn’t taken much to tempt him back to life in Serie A.
In May, Szczesny revealed that his time out in Italy was one of the best decisions he made, and another year of first team football awaits the Gunners academy graduate.

Several media reports are stating talks are heading in the right direction and it’s just the financial implications to solve before anything will be confirmed.
Expect this to be one of many departures to take place over the next month, with Mathieu Debuchy and Joel Campbell both set for exit talks as well as Szczesny.
It’s a loan move that will satisfy both him and Arsene Wenger, who is a big admirer of the shot-stopper and believes he will go on to replace Cech as Arsenal’s number one.
Speaking of Cech, he is currently standing in the way of anyone getting a chance to wear the gloves, and that could spark David Ospina into a big decision this summer.
The Colombian was ousted by Cech despite a good run whilst his competitor was injured, and another season on the bench will be the last thing he wants.
As for Szczesny, a career in an Arsenal shirt was always going to be hard for him after coming into the first team as such a young age.
A good break away from the Emirates for a couple of seasons could not only enhance his ability, but also his confidence because we all know how pressurizing the supporters can be.
He’ll want to get back into the Arsenal side I have no doubt about that, and a year of Champions League football can give him the best possible chance to compete.
