Defence: Mathieu Debuchy, Rob Holding, Josh Dasilva
Three names that at the start of the season you probably wouldn’t expect to see in an Arsenal senior line-up together, but Thursday night will prove a huge test for our defence.
Rob Holding is the only member of that back three to have picked up any minutes in the Europa League or Premier League so far, with Dasilva’s only appearance coming late on in the 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.
Mathieu Debuchy has a story all to himself over the past 12 months and spending what’s felt like a lifetime in the U23’s, he’ll finally be handed a chance to prove he’s not just stealing a living.
In all honesty, away from home and without any game time together it’s difficult to see this going well but Wenger really doesn’t have much of an option.
These players are there to be used and by drafting them in, it means we can have our three first-choice defenders available on Sunday afternoons game against Everton.
