3. George Boyd
Despite signing a whole team of new players this summer, George Boyd is the only one to actually improve our starting line-up. He operates on the left side of midfield, and although like Arfield he’s not really a traditional winger he does have more flair to him than the Scot.
He’s had a couple of quiet games away from home, but has shone in the last two games at Turf Moor and will be hoping to carry that through to the Emirates. He hit the crossbar early on, and then scored in the second half against West Ham in one of the most impressive individual performances of our season so far.
Likewise he was a menace for Everton’s back line last weekend. He’s not the fastest player in the world, but knows how to keep hold of the ball and is one of the most likely Clarets to get fans off their feet. His final ball is questionable at times, though.
