Amid all of the transfer doom and gloom, Arsenal fans have been handed a massive boost after the future of Bukayo Saka was decided today.
An exclusive report from the highly reliable David Ornstein at The Athletic has stated the 18-year-old has already agreed his long-term contract extension.
An official announcement is expected at some stage this week in what will be a huge sigh of relief for Mikel Arteta, who has had to convince the youngster to commit to the Gunners.
Reports suggested the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United were all tracking the situation involving Saka, who has burst on to the first-team picture this season.
However, it seems as if the academy graduate is appreciating all of the game time under Mikel Arteta, with him missing just three minutes of play since football restarted.
David Ornstein also mentioned in his article that Arsenal are intensifying their pursuit of Thomas Partey, the Atletico Madrid midfielder who’s been on the Gunners radar for a while.
Partey is thought to be Arteta’s number one target this summer, and has asked that everything is thrown at the La Liga side, no matter what financial situation we find ourselves in.
