Whilst Monday night may have been remembered for Chelsea taking one step closer to the title, Arsenal fans were stressing about something entirely different.
Cesc Fabregas bagged himself two more assists during the Blues 3-0 win over Middlesbrough, which means they’re just three points away from lifting the league.
However, attention soon turned to how well Fabregas has been playing under Antonio Conte despite the lack of appearances he’s had in a Chelsea shirt.
The midfielder now has 106 Premier League assists to his name, and sits behind only Ryan Giggs in the all-time record tables.
As well as that, the 30-year-old became the first player to get 10+ assists in six different campaigns, something that annoyed Arsenal fans even more.
Why’s that you say? Because Arsene Wenger had the chance to resign Fabregas before the 2015/16 season and instead, let him join his bitter London rivals.
It didn’t take long for fans to jump on the Twitter bandwagon, calling out the Gunners boss for making one of the biggest mistakes of his Arsenal reign.
Imagine you had an option to buy back Cesc Fabregas and say no, because you do not definitely need him.

Letting Fabregas go to Chelsea when he wanted to return to Arsenal has to go down as one of Wengers biggest ever mistakes if not the biggest

Shout out to Arsenal for turning down Fabregas, they would have wasted a gem of footballing talent #chelsea

@LeeGunner82 The difference between Fabregas and Özil is that Cesc makes things happen. He takes initiative. Özil waits for someone to give him the ball.

But wait, Fabregas left Arsenal and went to Barcelona to win the League, Copa del Rey, 2 Spanish super cups, Uefa super cup, Club World cup.
