Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit to sign a wide forward this summer as Arsene Wenger has reportedly met Alexis Sanchez’ agent. The news comes from a respected journalist on Twitter and the tweet can be seen below. It notes that Sanchez has had offers from Liverpool and Arsenal.

The news comes just hours after Arsene Wenger was excused of his commentating duties on French TV station TF1 as he reportedly was working on transfer deals. This will give Arsenal fans some excitement for a transfer window which has seemed to have been put on hold until after the World Cup.
Arsenal have managed to negotiate a £8million fee to sell all of the rights of Carlos Vela to Real Sociedad. Clever business, and it doesn’t stop there. Reports suggest Arsenal will also net up to £4million in bonuses and 20% of any sell on fee. The Gunners have done well to generate more revenue from a player who is on form, but may not have fitted well at the Emirates – as proven in his last stint.
