Arsenal have tabled a £12.5million bid for Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca according to Goal. It’s not the Colombian we all want to see at the Emirates (Falcao), but he is a striker and he can score goals.
Goal report: ‘The Sevilla striker has a €35 million [£27.6m] release clause in his contract but the Spanish club, who bought Bacca for €7m [£5.5m] last summer, would be willing to allow him to leave for around €16m [£12.5m].’
This could be nothing but the journalist who wrote the story says he has been told the deal is likely to happen. The Gunners need more attacking options, and whilst Bacca is not world class he is still a proven goalscorer.
Bacca stands at 5ft 11 and turns 28 next week. The Colombian featured in the World Cup and managed 14 goals in La Liga last season for Sevilla. He has an impressive goalscoring record throughout his career.
Is Bacca good enough? Who would you like to see Arsenal sign before the deadline? It’s getting incredibly close now!
