Bellerin is one of many academy graduates in Arsenal’s first-team after moving to the club from Barcelona in 2011, aged just 16, and enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, with a consistent run in the side due to Mathieu Debuchy’s injury.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Bellerin stated he believed this was the right way to do things as he said:

“The fans rate that Arsenal don’t just buy players, they make them the players they are. Arsenal fans are really proud of that and I think that’s a great thing.”

“When players like Francis, Jack or myself come up, the fans should be proud that their team is doing what they’re doing. That’s a great thing Arsenal do.”

The comments will delight Arsenal fans, who have made Bellerin a firm favourite within the squad.
