Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has been voted by fellow Premier League players as one of the six nominees for the PFA Player’s Player Of The Year Award.
Sanchez has been an integral part of the Arsenal squad since his transfer to the club last summer from Barcelona and his nomination is definitely well deserved.
With 14 goals in his 29 Premier League appearances, Sanchez has helped Arsenal dominate in the top four position and launch a late title push- although the bid for Chelsea’s crown has likely come too late.
For a player to reach these statistics and been recognised by his fellow professionals after less than 12 months in England, it is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the Chilean’s ability.
Whilst Arsenal fans will have him as their winner, it’s likely he will miss out to one of Chelsea duo Diego Costa or Eden Hazard, whilst he may be beaten to the award by Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
The other nominations are Manchester United’s David De Gea and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
Congratulations to Alexis Sanchez! Post your comments below.
