Arsenal ‘Ready’ To Sign £29m Striker

Arsenal are ready to sign Napoli hit man Gonzalo Higuain, ahead of rivals Juventus, according to reports.

The former Real Madrid striker is tipped to leave Naples this summer after failing to struggle fully and Arsenal reportedly want to bring him in as the latest big name star- and an ideal partner for Olivier Giroud.

Juventus were reported to be in discussions with the player’s brother, who also acts as his agent, regarding a transfer to Turin at the end of the season.

However the latest suggestions state that Arsenal have moved ahead of the Champions League quarter-finalists for the signature of the Argentine hit man.

Arsenal are set for major deals in the summer to increase their capability to challenge in the Premier League and Europe, so will not be put off by the £29m fee.

Higuain would also demand wages of around £57k-per-week, again something that should not be an issue for the Gunners- should they make a move.
