Arsenal are reportedly planning to bring Juventus Sporting Director Fabio Paraciti to the Emirates this summer, to oversee their transfer activities in the future.
The 42-year-old is renowned in Turin for his brilliant work behind the scenes, which has seen the likes of Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba brought to the club for minimal fees- with their value skyrocketing since.
Reports now state Arsenal want to bring Paraciti to fulfil a similar role in North London, which could see the Gunners find their muscle in the market for the first-time since losing David Dein.
However, the move could mean that Arsene Wenger would have a significantly less say in the transfer activities that Arsenal complete, which would be the first move for the Gunners for a post-Wenger era.
Whilst Wenger has masterminded the signings of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez is recent years, the club have missed out on a number of high-profile targets and lost a lot of players that could have been sold for a lot more.
In the scope of things, this seems like a positive move for Arsenal to face-off against their rivals in the transfer market and put the club on solid foundations for the future.
It also gives Arsenal a plan for the future, when Arsene Wenger is not in charge, which would see the club avoid a fall like Manchester United experience after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
