Arsenal are just days away from announcing their latest departure after a deal for Lucas Torreira was finalised on Thursday evening.
We’ve been waiting for a conclusion on this move all summer, but following a breakthrough on Monday that Galatasaray were interested, the 28-year-old now has a new club.
The news was broken by Fabrizio Romano as he confirmed that everything was now in place for Torreira’s permanent move, which will see Arsenal pocket just over £5m.

The switch comes following some last minute question marks from Torreia’s party who were using offers from Serie A to bump up the contract offer on the table from the Turkish side.
But now the Uruguayan will fly to complete his medical with the hope of everything being wrapped up before his new side kick off against Antalyaspor on Sunday.
It’s a welcome relief to Gunners boss Mikel Arteta who has been working to get the midfielder out of the club as he aims to build a squad of his own players.
Despite a successful season-long loan at Fiorentina last season that saw him win four club player of the month awards, it’s been difficult finding potential buyers for Torreira.
With just a year left on his contract, anyone interested were reluctant to pay a transfer fee and were instead holding out for a loan arrangement.
But despite the low fee on paper, Arsenal have done well to get something for a player who’s been out of favour for two and a half seasons.
Arsenal now free up a place in the midfield which now puts all eyes on the pursuit of Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans who is waiting for an approach from the club.
