Arsenal have been handed a welcome injury boost ahead of their trip to Anfield on Sunday.
There were fears that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would miss the game through injury, but Arsenal are confident he will be fit to start the game on Sunday.
Theo Walcott has targeted the Liverpool game to return to first team action with the Gunners. The 25-year-old did return a few weeks ago, but he has since suffered a few setbacks as his body gets used to the regular training sessions. It’s extremely unlikely Walcott will start, but he could feature on the bench – and that would be a big boost for the club.
Walcott’s threat going forward cannot be underestimated. Xavi reiterated recently how he was the Arsenal player that Barcelona feared most when they last met.
With Chamberlain in explosive form on the wing and in the centre of midfield, I’m sure the opposition are fearing him just as much as Walcott right now. With both returning, Arsenal have been handed a real boost going into the busy festive schedule.
