Wellington Silva – UD Almeria
UD Almeria has had a tough beginning to the year. Unlucky to get 3 points in their first match, Wellington Silva was an unused substitute in UD Almeria’s 1-1 draw. Silva was not in the squad for UD Almeria’s 1-0 loss to Getafe.
Austin Lipman – Boreham Wood
A little known name in Arsenal’s ranks, but the youngster is described as “versatile youngster, who can play either as a centre forward or on the right wing, has a keen eye for goal and has been capped for England at both under-16 and under-17 level.” Austin is on loan at Boreham Wood, or more commonly known as “The Wood”. Boreham Wood is currently 4th in England’s sixth tier of English football.
In Boreham Wood’s first game of the year, Lipman scored in the 6-0 win against Hemel Hempstead Town in the 46th-minute and was taken off after 74 minutes. He then played the full 90-minutes in Boreham Wood’s loss to Staines Town. However he did not play in Boreham Wood’s tie against Bromley.
However, Lipman came on in the 75th-minute to score the game-winning goal against Sutton United in Wood’s 3-1 win. Most recently, he came off the bench against Bath City, in the 61st-minute, but failed to continue his good form by not scoring.
Jon Toral – Brentford
Jon Toral is on loan at fellow London club, Brentford. Brentford is 8th in Championship after 5 games with two wins, two draws, and one loss. They have also been eliminated from the Capital One Cup.
Toral has been in the match squad for four games. Toral was an unused substitute in two matches, started in the Capital One Cup against Fulham, but came off in the 63rd minute. However, his best game was the 2-0 win against Rotherham United. Toral came off the bench in the 83rd minute and provided an assist for Proschwitz in the 98th minute.
Benik Afobe – MK Dons
The 21-year-old striker is on loan at Milton Keynes Dons where he has made a tremendous impact for the League One side. Afobe has appeared in all seven games this season for Milton Keynes, coming off the bench four times. However, he’s turned heads by scoring five times in those seven games, and is currently the club’s top scorer. His most notable appearance was the Capital One Cup tie against Manchester United. The England U-21 international scored two goals from coming off the bench to contribute a major part in MK Dons’ 4-0 win over Manchester United.
Ryo Miyaichi – FC Twente
Ryo Miyaichi was loaned out to Dutch side FC Twente on deadline day. He performed well last season at fellow Dutch side Feyenoord, so the move was a logical one.
Carl Jenkinson – West Ham United
Carl Jenkinson’s loan move to fellow London club, West Ham United hasn’t started as well as anyone would’ve hoped. The U-21 England international got injured in a preseason friendly against Malaga and has been sidelined ever since.
