Three Goalkeepers Arsenal Could Sign As Lukas Fabianski Replacements

With the Cup hero Lukasz Fabianski departing on a free to Swansea Arsenal have been left with Wojciech Szczesny as the only recognised keeper on the club’s books. It may not be a priority at this moment, but another keeper will be brought in a some point. Here i cast my eye over three potential targets.

1. David Marshall (Cardiff City)

In a disappointing season for Cardiff David Marshall was one of the few stand out performers for the Welsh side. He made some truly unbelievable saves which kept his side in games at times and you’d expect after such an impressive season he wouldn’t settle for Championship football. He made 3.49 saves per game on average and recorded seven clean sheets, a decent tally for a team that got relegated. It’s clear a premiership move would suit Marshall, but he would be coming as a number two, rather than first choice which is clearly what he wants. Another stumbling block in any potential move is the potential price tag. It is rumoured that £15 million would be enough to tempt Cardiff to sell, however I’m sure Wenger wouldn’t be prepared to pay this just for a number two keeper. Use the page numbers below to navigate through the rest of this article.
