Arsenal secured a much-needed win in the Champions League with an impressive performance in Portugal.
The Gunners were in scintillating form in the first half, with potentially their strongest XI out on the pitch, the team were purring.
First-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Gabriel put the game out of sight. Sporting responded with an early second-half goal but Bukayo Saka’s penalty soon put the game back in comfortable territory.
Leandro Trossard added further gloss to make it a historic away win in the Champions League for Arsenal.
