Arsenal are closing in on their first signing of the window and it will be their most expensive January signing ever!
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has tonight revealed that Arsenal have submitted a 70million euros (£62million) + add ons bid to sign Mykalo Mudryk from Ukranian club Shakhtar.
Arsenal have already had two bids knocked back for Mykhailo Mudryk, but this third bid looks like it may be enough to find the breakthrough in negotiations.
Shakhtar appear content with the 70million euros up front, they are just negotiating the add ons package as per Fabrizio: “Negotiations ongoing with Shakhtar Donetsk to discuss on the add-ons package”.
We shared an update yesterday which suggested a contract has already been agreed and Romano has stressed tonight that personal terms will not be an issue due to the players desire for the move.
Journalist Ekrum Konur reported yesterday that Arsenal had agreed a five-year contract with the player already.
Mudryk has caught the eye with his performances in the Champions League this season, netting 3 times and assisting 2 more.
In the Ukranian league he has also scored 7 and assisted 6 in 12 appearances.
Predominantly a left-winger, Mudryk is a tricky winger with sensational speed. It is also thought he could play as a second striker and from the right.
