Arsenal’s season isn’t exactly stable at the moment, and the club have just had injury news that will divide the supporters opinions.
That’s because Petr Cech will serve four weeks on the sidelines after picking up a nasty calf injury during the 3-1 loss to West Brom last weekend.
The 34-year-old was forced into being substituted during the first half whilst Arsenal were still in the game at 1-1, providing Arsene Wenger with more pressure in front of goal.
David Ospina’s head was never in the game when he replaced the Czech international, and subsequently the game was lost when West Brom took advantage of the Gunners defending of set pieces.
However, many supporters have been calling for Cech to get dropped for some time, and with so many games coming up through April now is Ospina’s chance.
With Arsenal only left in two competitions and a packed schedule coming up, the Colombian could build some form between the sticks to force Cech out.
The Gunners number one will now miss up to six games which could include the FA Cup semi-final on April 23rd, meaning his season could well be over.

If Ospina proves to be good enough then it would be foolish of Wenger to switch up his goalkeepers yet again, a decision that could have massive repercussions.
Ospina has grown sick and tired of playing as a cup goalkeeper and reports suggest an Emirates exit is on the cards with many European clubs lining up for his services.
