Arsenal aren’t holding back on securing their long-term future after reports in Germany stated the board have approached a managerial target.
Arsene Wenger’s position as Gunners boss has never looked so broken and following the 3-1 defeat to West Brom he admitted he’s already made a decision on his future.
Despite stating he hasn’t told anyone what he’ll do, it seems a good majority of club officials have picked up a vibe if these latest reports are anything to go by.
An exclusive story released by BILD, who are usually well measured when it comes to stories, reports Thomas Tuchel has been made an official offer succeed Wenger.
The German publication are well-known for getting a half decent exclusive and on the back of recent results, it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise that Wenger will step down.
Tuchel has been on the managerial shortlist for some time now following his appointment at Borussia Dortmund boss last season after Jurgen Klopp bid farewell.
And despite a ropey start to life in the Bundesliga, it seems a lot of Tuchel’s personal qualities are something the Arsenal board can get behind.
Wenger told the media he would announce his decision after the international break, meaning all we can do is sit and wait to see what the future looks like.
Nevertheless, reports will continue to pop up every day until that time and the Tuchel story is just the start, so Arsenal fans should keep an open mind.
