Arsenal Management Plan In Place Should Wenger Decide To Walk Away This Summer

After much deliberation, it appears the Arsenal board are finally acting on the prospect that Arsene Wenger might not be in charge next season.

Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool was the final straw for the majority of supporters, who feel the season can no longer be saved unless change is made at the top.

And according to The Express, the Gunners have taken significant steps to answer the fans prayers by committing to a manager who is more than qualified to take over.

The British news outlet revealed in an exclusive story that Arsenal officials have met with Max Allegri to cement a verbal agreement to take over the North London club.

Whilst many have argued the legitimacy of the story, it certainly seems that the board will act sooner rather than later on finding a replacement following recent form.

Wenger’s attitude has changed in the last few weeks and after heavy defeats to Bayern, Chelsea and Liverpool he’s starting to look like a broken man.

The Frenchman has repeatedly jumped past the questions regarding his future with the club, and now Allegri looks to be the man in demand should Wenger call time.

The Express go on to state that Allegri has been in contact with the Gunners since the end of last season, and all signs point to his swift arrival in the summer.

Juventus have already got used to the fact of not having their boss around next season, and it looks as if he’ll go out on a high by winning another Serie A title.

With Arsenal’s rivals in the top six content with their high-profile managers, there’s next to no competition for Allegri’s services either, meaning he may come a little cheaper.

However, all of this comes down to one thing, and that’s whether or not Wenger hangs up the Arsenal coat, an announcement we’re expecting towards the end of the month.
