When it comes to Arsenal announcing transfers, there’s two things you can always count on, one of which is that the whole of Twitter goes into meltdown.

The other is that the guys running Arsenal’s social media will pull out all of the stops to make the announcement just as spectacular as the player being unveiled.
With the £17million capture of Lucas Perez we were handed both of these things, and after a frantic week of negotiating the terms we’ve finally got the striker in an Arsenal shirt.
We’ve had a bit of time to check out who exactly the 27-year-old is, but following the announcement we’ve had some great reaction too.

Lucas Pérez is the first Galician to play for Arsenal. And one of very, very few to play in the PL. Living the dream of many-a-kid. #Coruñes
