Arsenal are set to release striker Park Chu-Young following a largely unsuccessful loan spell with Celta Vigo. The 27 year-old South Korean has another year to run on his contract but the club will offer mutual termination of the contract to the player, according to reports.
The Cho Sun reported on Thursday: ‘He is currently completing a month of combat training at an Army boot camp — his only obligation to the country after he was exempted from military service when he helped Korea win its first Olympic football medal, a bronze, in the London Summer Olympics last year.’
Park Chu-Young would be in a similar situation as Denilson who also had his contract terminated by Arsenal earlier in the summer.
