It was a more than welcome sight to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the club’s official SnapchatĀ channel, after the boss confirmed the positive news.

The attacking midfielder will almost definitely slot straight back into this weekend’s squad, who face a tricky trip to Carrow Road against 16th placed Norwich.

Also in the running to start on Sunday afternoon is Aaron Ramsey, who played just short of half an hour during Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Dynamo Zagreb in mid-week.

The Welshman looked incredibly cautious on Tuesday night after spending the majority of the first half warming up on the sidelines, a sign that Wenger doesn’t want to take any more risks.

Due to that factor, you can expect Chamberlain to start on the bench this weekend, and will play a similar part to Ramsey ahead of the return of yet another injured player.

Theo Walcott is in the final stages of his recovery following that calf problem he picked up against Sheffield Wednesday back in late October.

The 26-year-old joined in with some running today at London Colney, and you can expect him to feature in the squad against Sunderland on December 5th.

So, finally a positive update from the boss as we return to Premier League action this weekend, which leaves just a handful of injuries still to worry about.

Long-term absentees Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck are all scheduled to make it back in the early days of the New Year.

Meanwhile, Wenger confirmed that Francis Coquelin will be out for at least 12 weeks, yet handed relief on supporters as the Frenchman will not require surgery on his ligament problem.
