Two New Signings To Start: Arsenal Line-Up To Face Wolfsburg

Arsenal are set to face Wolfsburg in the Emirates Cup on Sunday. The German team lost against Villarreal in the tournament opener 2-1 but they are expected to name a stronger side against Arsenal. The Gunners are expected to make 11 changes from the team that romped Lyon 6-0 on Saturday.

Arsenal mixed youth with experience against Lyon on Saturday and on Sunday Arsene Wenger will go with a similar approach when picking his line up. New signings Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Petr Cech look set to start the game. Here’s what the first XI is almost certain to look like.

GK: Petr Cech
RB: Hector Bellerin
CB: Calum Chambers
CB: Gabriel Paulista
LB: Nacho Monreal
DM: Mikel Arteta
CM: Santi Cazorla
AM: Jack Wilshere
RM: Theo Walcott
LM: Jeff Reine-Adelaide
ST: Chuba Akpom

This game presents big chances for the likes of Walcott, Wilshere, Reine-Adelaide and Akpom to impress in positions that are currently highly competitive. Wenger was full of praise for new 17 year old signing Reine-Adelaide after his cameo appearance for the Gunners on Saturday.

Wilshere and Walcott will have to work hard to get into the line up against Chelsea next weekend after the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain excelled against Lyon in what was a fluent attacking display.
