Sparta Pragues’ supporters trust are launching a sensational proposal to bring Tomas Rosicky back to the club.
According to reports, the 34-year-old is desperately wanted by the fans at his former club, as they look to savour the final moments of his career.
The Czech Republic international began the early stages of his career with Prague, as he came through the youth ranks before moving to Borussia Dortmund and then Arsenal in 2006.
And despite the midfielders age, faithful supporters at the Czech side are keen to bring him back to finish off his career in his home country.
In a letter addressed from the Sparta Prague fans, they stated;
If you decide to bring Tomas Rosicky to Sparta we are ready to contribute with some finances for the transfer’s realisation.
At the moment we cannot promise a particular financial amount. But we are ready to do the maximum to inspire Sparta fans to raise the sum as high as it can be.
We will actively and fully support also some related activities of the club, for example the sale of Tomas’s shirt, and special souvenirs.
Rosicky has dropped down the pecking order at the Gunners in recent seasons, and for that reason he could be available for as little as £3million.
He currently has just one year left on his contract, and Arsene Wenger could look to offload his loyal asset to free up some wages for a younger, fresher addition to the squad.
However, despite the heavy rumours, the arrival of Petr Cech will spark an attractive reason to stay for Rosicky, who has the chance to play football with his national teammate for the next couple of seasons.
Any deal to extend the contract of Rosicky will be confirmed in the next couple of weeks, with the future of Arsenal captain, Mikel Arteta, still in doubt.
