Arsenal have agreed to sell Lukas Podolski to Galatasaray for just £2.1million – but the deal is crucial due to the German’s £95,000 per week wages.
The reports come from the reliable Hurriyet – who claim Podolski personally confirmed the move himself.
His reported £100,000 per week contract does not accurately represent his quality. Whilst he is an experienced international forward, Podolski now offers little for Arsenal. It is best for everyone that the likeable German moves on this summer.

Moving on Podolski, as well as Joel Campbell means Arsenal could be in the market for a striker. This theory is strengthened by the news that the Gunners are considering a loan offer for Yaya Sanogo.
Moving on Podolski was one of Arsene Wenger’s priorities this summer – as it was clear he had no future at the club, and Arsenal cannot afford to pay such high wages for a player on the fringes of the first team. At 30, Podolski is only likely to go downhill and his lazy attitude on the pitch could only really get worse.
Jackson Martinez is one player who won’t be joining Arsenal though, as he looks set to join Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners are reportedly interested in Karim Benzema, whilst Borussia Dortmund’s Aubameyang has also been linked. Alexandre Lacazette is also thought to be an option for the Gunners, although Lyon will demand at least £30million for his services.
