Arsenal and Lukas Podolski have finally parted ways today, well.. almost.
Podolski, 29, will join the Italians for six months on loan, but the deal could be made permanent if they choose to pay the £5million buy-option at the end of the season.
Podolski joined Arsenal in 2012 and has scored three goals this season, despite his lack of game time.
The German was yet to start a Premier League game this season and has become frustrated by his lack of first team football. Nobody can doubt he was one of the most clinical players at the club, but Arsene Wenger was never a fan of his lazy style of play on the wing.
Always keen to get the fans on his side, Podolski posed with an Inter Milan scarf as he landed in Milan last night. He completed a medical today and joined the Italian club on an initial loan deal this morning.
Moving Podolski on will have created a bit more room on the Arsenal wage bill as his £95,000 per-week wages were amongst the highest at the club.
