2 – Jean Seri
Arsenal could be in the market for another central midfielder with the future of Mohammed Elneny and Jack Wilshere up in the air. Santi Cazorla’s fitness is also something that the Gunners must now realise they cannot depend on. Nice’s Jean Seri was perhaps the most influential midfielder in the division last season, helping his side to a top four finish, something which seemed practically impossible before the season began. Seri is an energetic midfielder, small in stature, but very good at carrying the ball from deep areas and being influential in the final third. The Ivorian international managed 9 assists last season in Ligue 1. Nice’s president has confirmed there will be two more departures from the club this summer, with one of them thought to be Seri. Tottenham and Roma are also interested, but Arsenal have the healthier finances.
