Swansea are hoping to tie up the signing of Jenkinson before the end of the month and the fee (if any) will be minimal, with the Gunners just keen to shed his £45,000 per week wages. Jenkinson previously turned down Crystal Palace because they offered him just half of what his current Arsenal contract pays. Arsenal will be hoping that Swansea are more generous with their contract offer, otherwise Jenkinson may opt to stick around in the reserves and pick up his pay packet.
