3. FAILING TO WIN A NORTH LONDON DERBY

There’s not too much to say about this really is there? Tottenham, our arch-enemies and north-London neighbours had one of their more successful seasons with the outcome of matches against Arsenal. We drew 1-1 against Spurs in September at The Emirates – Nacer Chadli opening the scoring for Spurs shortly after the second half kicked off before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came to our rescue with his equaliser. Though it looked as though the replay at White Hart Lane in February would be a repeat of September’s 1-1 draw, it was gutting to lose in the closing minutes of normal time at White Hart Lane. Particularly as it was Harry “Bloody” Kane who scored Spurs’ winning goal.
