The 2014/15 season was pretty up and down for the Gunners. Here I take a look at what, in my opinion, were the 5 worst moments from the season.
1. INJURY CRISIS
Despite Arsenal changing their head physiotherapist the usual injury crisis beset Arsenal for yet another season. At one point in the season there were nine first team players out on injury. Though skipper Mikel Arteta missed 33 games due to various injuries, the worst impact on Arsenal’s defence during the 2014/15 was Mathieu Debuchy who had three spells out:
15/09/2014-08/12/2014 – 84 days – 17 matches missed (ankle injury sustained against Manchester City)
11/01/2015-31/03/2015 – 79 days – 15 matches missed (shoulder injury sustained against Stoke City)
28/04/2015-30/05/2015 – 32 days – 6 matches missed (hamstring)
You can watch the shove given to Mathieu Debuchy from Stoke’s Marko Arnautović which caused Debuchy to hit the hoarding with such force that he was stretchered off the field clutching a dislocated shoulder which later required surgery.

I’m sure we all wish Debuchy an injury-free 2015/16 season!
