5 Reasons Arsenal Can Bounce Back And Win The Title This Season

3 – Silencing The Critics

Following a season where too many players hid in their own shadows and failed to step up to the challenge, this is a year where several have a point to prove.

Both Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott were given leading roles at the beginning of the season to fire Arsenal into title glory, but both failed to deliver following the festive break.

As a result Walcott missed out on a place at the Euro’s and is now working his way back to get on the starting sheet, let alone be a comfortable regular in Wenger’s plans.

Giroud has already had a chance to silence his doubters, scoring three goals and assisting two at the summer championships was a great way to re-establish his best form.

Whilst looking at Walcott, he turns 27 this year and whilst entering his peak spell has a chance to leave a lasting legacy on his years in an Arsenal jersey, because at the moment he’ll be remembered for nothing.

If he can pick up a run of games in the early days of the campaign then hopefully he’ll establish some of that promise we put in him over ten years ago.
