5. Holger Badstuber
This is a bit of a dream signing, but having not been in action for so long it’s tough so say if he’ll be part of Pep Guardiola’s plans. I can see Badstuber being an excellent option in centre back for Arsenal and being at the club long term. Besides, the average age of our centre backs are 28.33 and the German-international would add some youth at 25-years-of-age. The downside to this is that Vermaelen would have to go. Although, long term I see it as a bonus and a good move for footballing reasons. Unfortunately this is just a dream signing and purely down to the defender wanting to leave the club he’s been with since 2002.
With the FA Cup in the bag, Arsenal needs to improve their squad and aim for higher next season. With the addition of just one of these signings would definitely be a step in the right direction.
