4. Ander Iturraspe
A fourth target is defensive midfielder Ander Iturraspe. He is also an Athletic Bilbao player and part of the reason for their 12 clean sheets. He’s gone under the radar in terms of being noticed by the big clubs. This could be a positive sign for a club like Arsenal, who like to do their transfers unseen by the global eye. Arsène would rather not enter a bidding war with clubs like Barcelona or Chelsea, and the fact that barely any club has been after Iturraspe’s signature could allow Arsenal to swoop in for a cut price fee. His release clause is rumoured to be €40 million, but a bid of around €25 million should be enough to sign the 25 year old Spaniard. He would be strengthening one of Arsenal’s weaker positions in the defensive area but he can also play the Wenger style. Iturraspe is exceptional in aerial duels, he likes to play through balls and outstanding at ball interceptions. Arsenal fans have been screaming for a natural defensive midfielder since the departure of Alex Song and Ander Iturraspe would the ideal player to come into an already talented Arsenal team and protect the creative players in front of him.
