Costel Pantilimon
A name that hasn’t been linked with Arsenal in the press, but one that interests me hugely, especially considering he’s available on a free. Throughout his time in England, Pantilimon played very consistently, rarely making errors, and forcing Joe Hart out of the Manchester City team for part of this season. His huge frame means he can get to more shots than most other keeper could, and his physical presence should certainly aid us in set-piece situations, should he play. At the age of 27, there’s plenty of time for him to push Szczesny for the No.1 jersey, hopefully bringing the best out of the Pole, who always seems to perform at his best under internal pressure.
