Arsenal face Manchester City tomorrow in a big clash at the top of the table. Both teams have had bumpy starts to their Premier League campaigns, and that means this tie is a must win for both sides. Arsenal have several new signings who are set to start, whilst Manchester City are expected to name a side with the likes of Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero in. Arsenal are expected to play with a similar 11 as is talked about in this article.
Here’s the Arsenal eleven I would play if I was manager.

Defence: This back four that it looks like we are set to play with is probably our strongest in the squad. It will be nice to see everyone in that defence fit again. Gibbs and Debuchy offer real attacking threats down the wing and so far, they look like they can hold their own defensively. Playing against Man City is a whole different ball game, mind. This a big test for Arsenal’s ‘strongest’ defence.
Midfield: Ramsey looks like he will miss out, but if the Gunners play in the 4-2-3-1 as suggested above, there is a lot of quality in the side. Ozil is a real influencer in that central role, and Sanchez is on goalscoring form. With him on the right, Clichy or Kolarov will have something to think about for the full 90 minutes.
Forwards: Alexis will support Welbeck in this formation. The young England striker is set to make his Arsenal debut tomorrow and expected to start upfront. He scored twice for his country in a brilliant 2-0 win over Switzerland. His confidence is high and he’ll want to make the difference tomorrow.
