2. Stewart DowningÂ
The former Liverpool midfielder has found his feet under Sam Allerdyce since his £5m move from Anfield last season. His club performances even earned him a place in the England team back in November, after almost three years out of the International picture.
Downing usually operates in a number 10 role in behind the strikers, but also tends to drift on the flanks to provide the front men with balls into the box – his natural position. He’s an obvious attacking threat from the midfield, one who the likes of Coquelin and the full backs to watch out for.
His work on the wings with the quality of crosses he wips in, is predominantly where his eight league assists have manifested from, and he’ll no doubt have the same initiative tomorrow afternoon. That characteristic means he’ll also be threat for set pieces.
