Struggling Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday in an early kick off that could prove to be more difficult than expected. Arsenal have built up a reputation of playing spectacularly badly when kicking off at 12:45, and this weekend might not be too different. Granted, West Brom aren’t exactly considered the hard hitters of the Premier League, but they do have talent in the team. Here are 3 players who could cause Arsenal a problem at the weekend.
1. Stéphane Sessègnon
Sessègnon has bags of ability and, on his day, could cause big problems for almost any defence on the world. The problem is, it’s rarely his day. When Paris Saint Germain signed him up few years ago, he looked like he could be a real talent. However, following a fall in grace and a bust up with the PSG manager, he moved to Sunderland, where he didn’t enjoy a particularly fruitful first season. In his second season he did go on to prove that he could play and, as a result, picked up the Sunderland player of the season award in 2012. This weekend he lines up for West Brom against Arsenal, and given the Gunner’s thin looking midfield, could find himself with the space to have a real impact on the game. Let’s hope he doesn’t.
