3 – Fabian Delph
Now I don’t think Arsenal fans will want to read this one. Another player to be linked in a swap deal is Fabian Delph. The English midfielder is a squad player at best and taking him from City seems pointless when the Gunners have plenty of ‘OK’ midfielders, but not enough of the top quality. Delph should certainly be left alone in Manchester. According to Goal, Arsenal have been pushing for Sterling’s inclusion in a deal, whilst City have been suggesting a number of other players, including Delph.
It is thought that a deal between Arsenal and Manchester City is going to happen for Alexis in the coming days, but Arsenal do not want to be left with a load of cash and nobody to spend it on, hence the desire to have a player of Sterling and Aguero’s quality included in the deal. It is just a matter of time before we know how these negotiations will pan out, but my personal preference would certainly to be get Sterling heading to The Emirates.
